|Join the BHS|
The BHS is one of the world's oldest and largest UK Herpetological Societies. Founded in 1947 by Britain's leading herpetologists, the Society still enjoys its national learned status and celebrated its 60th Anniversary in 2007.
The interests of our members are catered for by our range of specialist committees:
Whatever your age, whether you are a conservationist, a scientist, a field naturalist, or if you are interested in reptile and amphibian husbandry, the Society has something to offer. So why not join today?
We have a range of membership options to suit your needs. All three of our publications, the Herpetological Journal, the Herpetological Bulletin and NatterJack are available through the member's section of this website. Online Only subscriptions cost less, but you can still opt for printed publications should you so choose. Our publications are normally made available online a little earlier than printed copies are despatched - whichever membership type you choose, you'll recieve an email alert to advise you when a new Journal, Bulletin or Natterjack issue has been uploaded and is available on the website.
As well as our publications, other Membership benefits include:

Joining by Post
Joining by using our online facility is easiest and gives you instant access to the member's only areas of the site. However, you also have the option to download and print off an applicable paper membership form from the selection below. If you complete a membership form and post it to us together with relevant payment - for either Online Access or Printed (& online) membership, you will subsequently be posted your Member's section log-in details for the website.
Please remember to include a full postal address on the form to ensure you receive your log in details! Please do also include a clearly written and valid email address to help us communicate with you effectively in the future.
