Our 2024 AGM will again be held at the excellent facilities of the Amersham Community Centre on the afternoon of Sunday 23rd June.
We've lined up three great talks for the afternoon:
Monte Jackson from the NCRW - 'Covert Passengers: Turning a Spotlight on the Secret Life of Stowaways'
Monte (National Centre for Reptile Welfare) will be speaking on the herptofauna found in luggage, shipments, food and more considered as ‘stowaways’. He will provide insight into the issue of varied animals being found by workers and the public and the endeavours to monitor and document formal data on the issue.
Angela Julian from ARG UK - 'The ARG UK network: volunteers taking action to conserve reptiles and amphibians'
Dr. Steven Allain - 'A Beep in the Dark: 120 years of Midwife Toads in Great Britain'
In addition to the talks and the formal BHS AGM business, there'll be merchandise and dry goods tables - so do join us if you can for the afternoon of Sunday 23rd June. Registration will be 13.30 - 13.55 with the first talk starting at 14.00.
Running order for the afternoon will be: registration > talk 1 > BHS AGM > refreshment break > talk 2 > talk 3 > close
Attendance for BHS members is free (including YH members) - there's a nominal charge of £5 for non-members to cover refreshment costs. If you're a BHS member, you'll need to log in to the website to get the free booking option - and it's really easy to book then, your details will be automatically populated in the booking form so minimal keying needed! .
