ORDINARY MEMBER (online) Subscription

I confirm I have paid or will pay an amount of Income Tax and/or Capital Gains Tax for the current tax year (6 April to 5 April) that is at least equal to the amount of tax that all the charities and Community Amateur Sports Clubs (CASCs) that I donate to will reclaim on my gifts for the current tax year. I understand that other taxes such as VAT and Council Tax do not qualify. I understand the charity will reclaim 25p of tax on every £1 that I have given. By selecting to apply Gift Aid to my donation, I am agreeing to share my personal information for the purpose of reporting to HMRC.

PLEASE NOTE: please do NOT claim gift aid if your membership of the BHS is relevant to your employment or self-employment. The BHS is an approved learned society (i.e. a 'list 3' organisation), which means that membership fees paid to the BHS are deductible for UK income tax purposes provided they were not paid by someone else (e.g. an employer), however this also means that the BHS cannot claim gift aid on membership fees paid by members who are able to claim this deduction.
